Their winning proposal story: "My partner, Luke, had only recently joined the defence force and so we hadn't seen each other for 3months. I flew over to Melbourne for his graduation ceremony and at the end in his ceremonial Navy whites, in front of his entire graduation class, guests and news crews Luke got down on one knee and very romantically proposed. I was so overwhelmed as I had no idea of Luke's intentions that it wasn't until later in the evening during celebrations that I remembered to check it was real, being April fool's day. Later that evening we appeared on the news which only added to our very special day. Luke truly is the man I am going to spend the rest of my life with, our hearts belong entwined together, forever!" |

Their winning proposal story: "Mike and I had planned a trip to Thailand for a month. On the evening of Valentine’s Day he took me for a walk along the beach where we stumbled across a whole lot of tables and beanbags set up right on the beach. After a few cocktails he gave me a gift which was a book in which he had written down all of our beautiful memories together. After I had finished reading the book I was very teary and that’s when Mikey got down on not one, but two knees and asked me to be his wife!!" |
